Healthy kids start with healthy eating habits. Healthy eating habits don't always fit into the agenda of greedy corporations and aggressive marketing campaigns. Therefore as parents, it's our responsibility to get educated on nutrition and hormone free, pesticide free, toxin free living for ourselves and our children. These two books are a good starting point: "How To Raise A Healthy Child In Spite of Your Doctor," and "Superimmunity for Kids." Both books are written by medical doctors but give alternatives to what traditional Western pediatrician solutions. While Western medicine practices treatments for ailments, mostly in the form of prescription drugs, Eastern medicine practices prevention before an illness even develops through the use of natural herbs, vitamins and nutrient rich foods.
